Welcome

Music virtuoso Zoumana Diarra passed away on July 28, 2020 and we buried him on August 3. In this way, we would like to thank everyone for the support we have received and continue to receive in recent times.

The farewell to Zou was a day full of love and a beautiful musical tribute. A huge thank you to all the artists who contributed: Sylvia van Swieten (who painted the coffin so well!), Gino Bombrini, Fernando Lameirinhas, Monica Akihary and Niels Brouwer (Boi Akih), Nippy Noya, Kayta Bouba, Bright Richards, Jan Kuiper, Harry Sacksioni, Leoni Jansen, Hanneke Evink. Thanks also to Jambo Africa; Christian Kodjo, Salia Traoré, Ndingo, Marthe, Oumar Dioubate and the fantastic Mirjam Koenen. Your music has given comfort and still does.

Thank you to everyone present; from family to friends, students of Zou, colleagues, musicians, all the old friends of Benkadi and Hello Hello. You have all been seen and your presence felt.

Many thanks to Aster Uitvaartzorg for making this special day possible, with your good care and very flexible engagement.

And finally; thank you to all those who have made a financial contribution, so that Zou's body has now found a place in the beautiful Koningsakker, in the middle of nature, as free as a bird. It is heartwarming to see how generous people are and wanted to support us in this way.
Any support in any way made us feel good and made us feel warm. We realize that, because he knew so many people, we probably wouldn't have been able to reach or invite all of Zou's good friends. Zou had friends from Maastricht to Groningen.

Now we continue, with many beautiful memories, but without Zou, our brave lion. His music will stay with us forever and we hope everyone will enjoy it very much.
